Attention NC affiliates (and all affiliates)! I will be posting updates here regularly about various state tax laws.  To begin with, I want to point you to a petition against the North Carolina Affiliate Tax. I have signed it (#302) but we need many more people to sign this and to take as much action as possible to fight this tax and similar ones like it.

You may say, “I don’t live in NC, what do I care?”  Well, in case you did not know, numerous other states are looking to enact similar legislation and severely hurt, even destroy, affiliate marketing as we know it.  Name a state and it seems they have something in the works to tax you.

It started with New York…will your state be next?
