LEGACY Week Three - Celebrity Edition

LEGACY Week 3 is almost here and this time there is a celebrity theme! 
LEGACY Week 3 will begin next Monday, May 17 and run through Sunday May 23 (well sort of…read below for more details). Each day of LEGACY Week represents a letter in the word LEGACY (”L” for Monday, “E” for Tuesday, and so on - “Y” is the whole weekend). For LEGACY Week 3, each letter represents a well-known person from the worlds of entertainment, politics, music, art, and sports.
During the first LEGACY Week last year, we gave away over $500 in bonuses. During LEGACY Week 2.0 we gave ShareASale affiliates over $2,300 in bonuses.
My conservative estimate is that LEGACY Week 3 will be responsible for giving $3400 in bonuses, but I am hoping that it will do even better!

Pay Per Call Program Updates

I am super excited to announce that we have made some big updates to our Pay Per Call Program on ShareASale.
To cut straight to the best part, we have increased our payouts across the board on converting calls to $20.00.
So now every call that lasts 4 minutes or longer pays out at $20.00. And, of course, affiliates that convert at higher than normal rates are eligible for even further increases.
We have also added new campaigns for the following categories as well:

Bass Guitar Spotlight Video Added to ShareASale

I just added our Learn & Master Spotlight Series Bass Guitar promotional video to ShareASale.
As always, there are three sizes.
It is active, however, please note that the link is not valid (and it won’t be until mid-April) however I did want to share it with you so I put it up.
Just a reminder that the Bass Guitar course will be officially coming out April 30, but the pre-order will be starting sometime around April 16.

New Videos Added to ShareASale

Last night we added three new videos to our ShareASale Videos and updated two others.
We added videos for the Learn & Master Spotlight Series Blues Guitar course as well as the Spotlight Series Guitar Set-Up and Maintenance course and our Home School Painting course.
We also updated the videos for our Home School Editions of Guitar and Piano.
Videos are easy to find and easy to add from the ShareASale interface. And they track to your account!
Just login to your account and go to “Get Videos.”
Do a search for “Legacy Learning”
Click on “Get Video Code”
Click on Get this Video Code - Notice how ours are organized with titles such as “Award-Winning Ballroom Dance Course Medium”
We give them titles that are user friendly (the people viewing them) but the last word is always the size so they are easy to find.
We have three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

Bass Guitar Video Teaser

Our production team is working feverishly on the forthcoming Learn & Master Spotlight Series: Bass Guitar course.
The shooting is done. Instructor Tony Marvelli (right) and our production team did a marvelous job shooting the course. I have seen (and heard a lot down the hall) clips of it and it is awesome! They just keep getting better.
Next week or early the week after we will have some preliminary graphics including product shots and a few banner ads ready. For the next week after that, we will be adding even more banners.
We will be making these banners inactive in ShareASale until a day or two before the pre-order, so if you want to get them ahead of time, just email me and ask permission and I will make them active for you.
The release date is April 30 and we will likely be starting the Pre-Order two weeks before that. I will have a final Pre-Order date very soon.
The price of the course is $49.00.
Also, just to remind you…the Fingerstyle Guitar Spotlight is already in the works and will be released in late July. Learn & Master Photography has already had a test shoot and from what I hear, it looked awesome! It is going to be the longest course in terms of number of lessons and it will be out this fall.

Bass Guitar Spotlight Series Update - 12 Weeks to Release!

Our Learn & Master Spotlight Series: Bass Guitar course will be officially released on April 30 of this year. That is slightly less than 12 weeks from today.
Here some facts:
The price will be $49.00.
The Pre-Order date is yet to be determined but will likely start two weeks prior to the release date (April 16). We are less than 10 weeks to Pre-Order!
Over the next few weeks, I will be providing you with all of the necessary creatives and graphics and video to have your site ready in advance of the Pre-Order.
My goal is to have everything to you at least three weeks prior to the Pre-Order date, so approximately March 25.
Also, Fingerstyle Guitar is looking like it will be released in late July. Soon after Bass Guitar, we will have a more firm date on that as well and will follow a similar schedule for its release and getting graphics, video, and other creatives to you.
Learn and Master Bass Guitar Spotlight Update

As I previously announced in numerous places, including in my post entitled “Coming Attractions in 2010,” our next course is part of the Learn & Master Spotlight Series on Bass Guitar.
The course is scheduled for release sometime in April so I wanted to give you some of the particulars periodically beginning this week.
Later this week I will announce the official launch date.
Over the next few weeks I will provide information on pricing as well as some early artwork from the course. I will also share some previews of the creatives and videos with you.
Approximately a month before the launch, I will have shared banners and product shots with you and will have them added to our links section so that you can build them into your site.
If there is anything that you need prior to the launch, such as a specific size banner, please let me know ahead of time so that I can take care of it for you before the launch. 
This is going to be a great course and I really am looking forward to it!
Also as a reminder, here are some early ballpark dates on our other courses this year. They are very preliminary, but we will begin to announce details at least 10 weeks prior to the launches and once again have creatives and other needed items for your sites finalized at least two weeks in advance.
Spotlight Series on Fingerstyle Guitar - Early July.
Learn & Master Photography - Early October.
Other Spotlight Series course TBD - week of Thanksgiving.
Fourth Quarter Results - WOW!

Today I crunched our affiliate numbers for the fourth quarter of 2009 and the final numbers were truly exciting!
Our affiliate revenue was up 61.9% compared to 2008.
I believe this was due to many factors, including:
New courses like Learn & Master Painting and our Spotlight Series courses for Blues Guitar and Guitar Set-Up and Maintenance.
The addition of hundreds of new creatives and banners, videos, widgets, etc.
The awesome work of the ShareASale team in helping us get up on their network.
Better testing producing better conversions. This was especially critical in determining the right price point during the Christmas season.
In light of the economic problems in our country, I think a 61.9% growth is pretty awesome.
Thank you to all of your awesome work in helping us do this…I look forward to an even better FIRST quarter of this year

Help Choose our February ShareASale Bonuses

We need your help to choose our next big, extra bonus on ShareASale for February.
We have a ton of ongoing bonuses that run every month on ShareASale like our $50 bonus on your second sale, or our $200 bonus on your 50th sale in a month plus another $325 for your 100th sale, and $500 for 200 sales in a month. Your 100th sale overall also gets a $200 bonus. These are just our regular bonuses.
But each month we throw in at least one extra bonus, such as this month’s $1000 bonus for selling 60 Ballroom Dance courses and last month’s $200 bonus for selling 50 Spotlight Series bundles. This month though, you get to choose your bonus, so I look forward to hearing from you!

Coming Attractions in 2010

Happy New Year again!
Yesterday we had our annual “State of the Company” meeting. We reviewed 2009, which was awesome, and we looked ahead to 2010.
So I wanted to share some of the “Coming Attractions” for this year.
As I previously shared with you, Learn and Master Photography will be released in approximately August of 2010. Our production team has already begun laying out sets, writing content, and preparing to begin shooting soon. This is going to be a GREAT course!
In more big news, we are going to release THREE Spotlight Series courses this year! Here they are:
- Finger Style Guitar - When we polled our Learn & Master Guitar customers and asked them which course they wanted next, this was the overwhelming winner.
- Bass Guitar - So many of you have asked for it…so here it comes!
- One additional Guitar Spotlight to be named later - There are two possibilities here and I am personally super excited about both of them!
I have also hired an assistant, Anitha Jain, who many of you will surely be introduced to over time. Already, much of the work done behind the scenes here is done by her and we are looking forward to a great 2010 together!
2010 is really shaping up to be an exciting year…a very busy one and one that will surely lead to a lot of profits for everyone.
Don’t forget that Gifts and New Year’s Resolutions make first quarter a hit for Legacy. Now is the time to get started!
